New year, new goals

New year, new goals

As the year starts wrapping up it’s a time to celebrate, reflect and rest. While you enjoy the summer and festivities, it’s also a great time to think about your goals for the New Year.

Taranaki has had great success in 2017 with the naming of Taranaki as the second best region in the world to visit by Lonely Planet. We’ve also had increased tourism thanks to the Len Lye Centre, events such as WOMAD, and the bowl featuring world-class concerts.

There’s a lot we can say we’ve achieved.

With the recent movement to help grow and sustain Taranaki outside of our traditional farming gas and oil sectors, it’s a great time for not only the tourism industry, but hospitality, the arts and local businesses.

That makes this summer break the perfect time to start thinking about your business, your brand, how you are going to grow and stay relevant in the rapidly expanding, continuously modern, Taranaki region.

When it comes to thinking about your business there are some things you may want to ask yourself, such as:

  • Is your branding such as your logo, website and signage looking modern?
  • Do you feel you’re reaching your audience in an effective way?
  • Is your website working for you?
  • Do you have consistent marketing materials?
  • Are you making the most of your marketing opportunities throughout the year?
  • Would your business benefit from an ‘audit’ from professionals?

There are fantastic resources in the region including our team at TGM Creative who can help you find a solution to these questions. Simply get in touch with us and we can set up a free consultation meeting to go over your needs.

It could also benefit you to take a look at the Venture Taranaki and NZTE Capability Voucher Scheme, which gives eligible businesses a 50% subsidy on training and marketing capabilities – a great way to get the tools you need to help your business thrive in 2018.
